These terms describe how the Student Essentials Initiative (“SEI”, “we”, “us”) platform works and what we expect from people who use it.

Use of the platform

SEI is a Nigeria-focused bulk-buying platform for student essentials. By using the platform you agree to use it lawfully and not to abuse, disrupt or attempt to compromise the service.

Student accounts

You must provide accurate information (name, phone, university/campus) when you sign up. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login details safe.

Bulk-buy campaign participation

Each campaign has a product, retail price, bulk price, target quantity and deadline. Joining a campaign creates an order that becomes binding only after payment is confirmed. SEI may close, cancel or fail a campaign that does not meet its target.

Payments

Payments are processed through Paystack. SEI verifies payments on the server before a payment is marked confirmed. Students cannot self-mark an order as paid. Payment statuses you may see include unpaid, pending, paid, failed and refunded.

Refunds

Refunds are handled manually by an admin for the scenarios described in the Refund Policy. Refunds are returned to the same payment source where reasonably possible and may take time to reflect.

Campaign cancellation

If a campaign is cancelled or marked as failed, unpaid orders on that campaign are cancelled automatically and paid orders move into the refund queue.

Product availability

Prices, availability and delivery windows shown in campaigns are estimates and may change due to supplier conditions. We will keep students updated through the order page.

Pickup and delivery responsibility

Students are responsible for collecting their orders at the pickup window or providing an accurate delivery address. Failure to collect within a reasonable window may forfeit the order at SEI's discretion.

Ambassador participation

The ambassador program is described in the Ambassador Policy. Ambassador accounts require admin approval and may be suspended for misuse.

Commission rules

Ambassadors earn commission only when a referred student completes an eligible paid and delivered order. No commission is earned from signups alone or from cancelled/refunded orders.

Withdrawal rules

The minimum withdrawal amount is ₦2,000. Withdrawals are reviewed by an admin before being marked paid. Ambassadors cannot approve or pay their own withdrawals.

Account suspension

We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, attempt fraud, or harm other users. Suspended ambassadors stop earning new commissions.

Limitation of liability

SEI is provided “as is” during this beta period. To the maximum extent allowed by law, SEI is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
